To solve all the problems causing chaos and congestion at bus stations and delivery yards, the stations need to modernize the management and operation practices to improve service quality.
Current situation:
- Currently, there are still chaos and congestion at bus stations and delivery yards… The main reason is that when the vehicles enter and leave the station, it still takes a lot of time because they have to do manual procedures.
- Managing and monitoring vehicle information at the wharf/station takes a lot of time and effort, especially when compiling reports and statistics for the management agencies.
- In addition, there are many cases where the license plates are blurred or fake, leading to difficulties in inspection, monitoring and management at the station.
- To solve all the existing problems, the stations need to modernize the management and operation practices to improve service quality and contribute to attracting more passengers. The solution of “Electronic bus station management” with modern and intelligent technology such as Smart Camera, object recognition technology by RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) and IoT (Internet of Things) can solve the above problems, contributing to improving the current situation at bus stations to become more modern and friendlier for managers, transport businesses and especially citizens.
Applying the most modern technologies such as Smart Camera, RFID and IoT to solve the following requirements:
- Monitoring the entire operation of vehicles entering and leaving the yard, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Warning and informing ahead of time of vehicle documents, driving license to transportation units, drivers and vehicle management units to proactively handle timely and prevent the vehicle from stopping due to unguaranteed documents.
- Automatically identifying and warning when the vehicles enter and exit the station, helping the station operator to manipulate less, faster and more accurately; Quickly carrying out procedures for vehicles entering and leaving the parking lot; Overcoming congestion at the entrance/ exit.
- Images and information data of the vehicles going in and out are entirely stored on the system, which can be provided quickly and accurately for investigation and helping to reduce traffic accidents.
- Automatically aggregate statistics of turns of people, turns of vehicles, and turns of seats across the station.
- Identifying wanted, stolen, robbed, and disorderly people at the station. Unusual images such as smoke and fire are also identified and warned early.
RFID identification technology:
Each vehicle will be tagged with an RFID tag. Each tag contains basic information about the vehicle (card code, license plate, driver…). Through the receiving antenna system located at the entrance and exit gates at the bus station, each vehicle entering and leaving the station can be identified with detailed information from number plates, schedules, transport enterprises, driver information, labels, vehicle brand, load…
RFID identification technology stands for Radio Frequency Identification, which is identification by the frequency of radio waves. This system consists of 3 main parts: RFID tag (tag), tag reader (also known as reader) and computer software. The tag is attached to the object to be tracked. The tags are all embedded with small chips and micro antennas inside. When put into the electric field of the reader, the tag will receive energy to activate and transmit data from the chip to the RFID reader, then the data will be transferred to the computer through the communication port. This tag acts as the computer’s memory card, so it can be updated many times.
Camera image-based recognition technology (Smart Camera):
The cameras located at the entrance and exit gates at the bus station analyze images, recognize the license plates of the vehicle going in and out with RFID technology to accurately identify vehicle information, prevent forgery of license plates, warn violators, and collect vehicle panorama images and license plate details to store and look up when needed. In addition, with the cameras located at places that need to be monitored, the system can capture images and identify faces of wanted subjects, thieves, robbers, and disorderly conduct at the stations. The cameras also identify and give early warning of abnormal phenomena such as smoke and fire… This system allows the following:
- Notifying cases of unauthorized access.
- Controlling time attendance; Registering and managing guests entering and leaving the area.
- Creating groups with access or restricted access.
- Connecting to a device that allows “acquaintances” to enter and “strangers” who are not yet allowed to get in…
- Searching by report templates by Time/ Camera/ Group/ Name
Facial Recognition Camera – Facial Recognition Technology: When the object is within the camera’s range, the system will automatically locate the face and perform algorithms to extract facial data. All the above processes happen in less than 2 seconds.
Integrated smart camera and artificial intelligence:
Apply to monitor the parking lot, suggest to the driver the available space and guide for moving, saving parking time and increasing the efficiency of use for the enterprises.
